Huge news for Nintendo Switch 2 owners

Ocarina of Time remake timing aligns too well with LEGO Zelda rumours

The announcement of a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake feels perfectly timed for the LEGO Group, as fresh set rumours circulate online.

As news from the latest Nintendo Direct continues to roll in, it has been confirmed that a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 by the end of 2026.

This timing appears to coincidentally align with recent rumours suggesting that another LEGO The Legend of Zelda set could be released this year. As always, such rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt, and nothing has been officially confirmed. Even so, the overlap feels unusually well-timed.

What makes it more notable is that both existing LEGO The Legend of Zelda sets already draw directly from Ocarina of Time. This includes 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1, with one of its two builds inspired by the game, alongside 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle, which is fully based on it. Both are therefore rooted in the same game, reinforcing its importance to the theme so far.

With Ocarina of Time set to return to the spotlight across Nintendo’s wider plans later this year, it raises a simple question: would the LEGO Group be able to resist the pull of revisiting it again? The answer remains unknown, and until anything is officially announced, it’s all speculation.

In the meantime, 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle is available now, while 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 remains on shelves ahead of its July retirement.
