Three specific LEGO SMART Play sets are now scheduled to retire six months earlier than the rest across Star Wars and Pokémon, following some deep discounts.
The latest update to the list of LEGO sets retiring in 2026 and beyond has three Star Wars SMART Play models moving their retirement dates six months earlier than every other SMART Play set revealed so far.
Whether it's Star Wars or Pokémon, every LEGO SMART Play build was originally scheduled to retire at the end of December 2027. As of today, 75420 Luke's Landspeeder, 75422 Yoda's Hut and Jedi Training, as well as 75425 Mos Eisley Cantina, are now due to retire at the end of July next year.
Coincidentally, these three LEGO Star Wars sets have been frequently on sale, including some near half-price savings last week.
It suggests that these SMART Play builds are underperforming compared to the rest of the Star Wars selection. That's only speculation on our part, though. Brickset reports that these models have only sold hundreds of copies at Amazon in the past month, whereas sets typically are sold thousands of times within a month.
It's far too early to say whether SMART Play is underperforming as a whole, but with a full wave of Pokémon SMART Play models on the way, this is a story worth keeping an eye on.
75420 Luke's Landspeeder, 75422 Yoda's Hut and Jedi Training, and 75425 Mos Eisley Cantina are all available on sale at Amazon UK right now. The new Pokémon builds launch on August 1.
